When you’re annealing glass, heat uniformity is the only thing that matters. If your lamp spacing is off by even a few millimeters, you get cold spots. Those cold spots create internal stress in the glass, and that’s how you end up with cracked product. By building the lamps into pre-aligned, curved frames, we take the guesswork out of it. The infrared radiation hits the glass exactly where it should, consistently, across the whole arc. No more “close enough.”
The Trade-off: Power vs. Heat
If you want fast throughput, you need high-wattage shortwave lamps. They ramp up quickly. But there’s a catch. When you push that much power through a curved setup, the wiring and connectors take a beating. It gets hot. Really hot. To stop your wires from melting or burning out during a 24/7 run, we use heavy-duty leads and insulation that can actually handle the heat. Just a heads-up: since these modules pack a punch, make sure your control cabinet is beefy enough to handle the total current draw.
