Power and Voltage: Matching the Load to the Line
Here’s the core setup: 400V, 2500W, 300mm. No random numbers here. The 400V feed keeps the current lower than a 230V design at the same wattage. That means smaller conductors and less voltage drop over distance. The 2500W packed into 300mm gives you the heat flux needed to close the gap between heating and cooling zones. But there’s a trade-off. That much power density demands a cooling and airflow plan that’s properly thought through. You have to keep the quartz and reflector from running too hot, or you’ll pay for it down the line.
Material, Coating, and the R7s Connection
The tube is quartz, plain and simple, because it can handle thermal shock and stay stable at high heat. The halogen fill keeps the filament stable over its life, so output stays consistent instead of fading over time. Inside, a reflective coating pushes more energy forward. Less wasted heat. More intensity where you need it—on the glass. And the R7s connector? It’s the practical choice on the shop floor. On-Line Annealing and Continuous Run
When you’re doing on-line annealing, response time is everything. Infrared halogen lamps come up to temperature in seconds, so you can sync the heat to the glass, not to some slow, bulky thermal mass. The result?
